Chi-town, the Windy City, the City of Big Asses, the city about which I wrote that when the northern ice melts, polar bears will hunt for food there because they can smell pepperoni-stuffed Chicagoans from 30 miles away.
But Chicago is a famous city with a proud history. It has many somethings and its people are something or something. And there are some sports teams.
And on December 2, 1942, physicist Enrico Fermi conducted the world's first controlled nuclear reaction at the University of Chicago as part of the top-secret Manhattan Project. Who isn't proud of that?
Did I say, proud? I meant terrified.
