I don't review stuff; I leave that to competent librarians. But I will comment on All-Star Batman & Robin, The Boy Wonder, Vol. 1 by Frank Miller (words and such) and Jim Lee (art).
I think this is the kind of Batman you'd get if Batman were self-aware, like if he knew people were drawing comics about him. He'd be 2-parts crazy and 1-part a-hole. But what do I know?
Maybe I'm crazy. Maybe Gotham is crazy. Maybe the world is crazy. Maybe everyone just needs a good kick in the teeth. How should I know? But I love being the.goddamn.effing.librarian.
Now if you can tolerate writing like that alongside gorgeous art, then read it.
