Who visits your library?

Again, this is just me thinking about something. This won't affect anything you do today.

Who visits:

  • moms
  • kids
  • adult learners
  • seniors/retireees
  • no-fixed-addressers
  • 40-something WM Myspacers
  • people with no money and big ideas
  • non-studying students
  • job-seekers
  • tourists

Whom do you want to visit:

  • business people
  • artists
  • published authors
  • clean teens
  • studying students
  • taxpayers
  • knowledge seekers

Is there an environment that already exists where all these people co-exist? If not, what groups of people can we be satisfied not serving in order to create that environment within the library?

Is it possible that we might never get "those" people to visit library?
